The Portland Show

Portland has been a place of inspiration and a haven for me for many years. It is the spirit and people of Portland that is captivating. The tree-lined streets, brick sidewalks, seagulls crying overhead, the smell of the ocean and the cool ocean breeze all culminate in one ethereal experience. Or, to be sitting in a warm restaurant, surrounded by friends or local people, protected from the stormy weather outside, Portland has a heartwarming quality that is hard to find elsewhere. In this new series of paintings, it is my intention to capture key places of urban beauty, which are characteristic of this beautiful coastal city we call Portland. |
