Light alters, contrasts, illuminates color and the physical world, evokes feelings, creates a sense of moment, gives us an experience of the world, of being part of the world. Light reveals truth and possibility. Light allows us to perceive our own realities. With light we are not alone. Light reveals what is before us, around us, behind us, and even what is within us. Light distinguishes the multitude of colors in life, nature, and the nature of life.
Colors are perceived by the nature of their communication and interaction with their surroundings. Much like the human experience, colors will sometimes recede, pop, or blend depending on their surroundings. My work is about creating this harmony and discourse, all culminating in one visual experience of color.
